A series of diclofenac hydrazones was synthesized and the structure of the compounds was proved using different spectral methods such as infrared (IR), nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR) and high resolution mass spectroscopy (HR-MS). The biological evaluation, focused on in vitro antioxidant effects using DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) and ABTS (2,2’-azino-bis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid)) free radicals scavenging assays was also performed. An improved antioxidant effect of the synthesized compounds compared to diclofenac was observed.
