A new series of 4-methyl-2-(pyridin-4-yl)-thiazole-5-yl-azoles were synthesized starting from 4-methyl-2-(pyridin-4-yl)- thiazole-5-carbohydrazide. The newly synthesized compounds were characterized by analytical 1H NMR, 13C NMR and mass spectral data. The synthesized compounds were screened for their antimicrobial activities against several strains of Grampositive and Gram-negative bacteria and one fungal strain (Candida albicans).
