The main inorganic compound that can be used in the selective delivery of active principles to bone is hydroxyapatite. An amphiphilic compound derived from malonic acid has been successfully prepared, purified and analysed. This compound may be used in order to prepare liposomes with possible hydroxyapatite binding properties.
