Silver complexes of norfloxacin (NOR) are interesting for therapeutic purposes due to possible synergistic bactericidal and antifungal potential provided by the metal and fluoroquinolones (FQ). In order to obtain new compounds with superior antibacterial and antifungal properties, we synthesized two silver complexes of NOR. A multi-analytical approach was carried out by using elemental analysis (C, H, N), conductivity measurement, differential scanning calorimetry and spectroscopic methods (FT-IR, 1H-NMR, UV-VIS and PL). The screening of antibacterial activity and antifungal of the complexes was performed by determination of minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) through microtiter broth dilution method.
