References

References used have to be adequate, accurate and have to reflect the used materials from other sources.

The cited works should not be transposed into excessive self-citation of their own work or their friends’, peers’, or institution’s publications or advertising data.

All references should comply with Vancouver Style.

Guidelines:

  • References should be numbered in the order they appear in the text. Correct numbering format: (1), (1, 2), (1-5), (1, 2, 5, 7-10)
  • Each source keeps the same reference number every time it is cited.
  • Authors are listed with the surname first followed by the first and middle initials without periods. (E.g.: Skinner BF)
  • Author names are written as surname + initials without periods (e.g., Popescu AB).
  • List up to 6 authors; if there are more than 6, list the first 6 followed by et al.
  • Separate author names by a comma and a space
  • Journal titles abbreviated according to the NLM Catalog of NCBI Journals.
  • In journal or book titles, capitalize only the first word and proper nouns.
  • When URLs are used, ensure that they are as direct as possible and the link still functions as close to publication as possible.
