5H-Dibenzo[a,d][7]annulene ring compounds get an increasing attention because of their multiple applications, especially in the medical field. For this reason, we have considered useful to apply phytobiological tests of some compounds having 5Hdibenzo[ a,d][7]annulene ring, using the Constantinescu method, Triticum test. Synthesis of these compounds was described in our previous papers. The influence of the compounds tested on wheat embryonic root elongation depends both on chemical structure and on concentration, most compounds presenting mitoinhibitory activity, without presenting a cytotoxic effect. Hydrazinecarbothioamide substituted in position 4 with 4-fluorophenil radical has a cytotoxic effect for the most concentrated tested solution.
