Editorial Policy
Editorial Process
Farmacia Journal ensures a robust and transparent peer review process to maintain the highest quality of published research. This process is managed by esteemed researchers in the field. We are committed to an efficient, rigorous, and equitable review process for all parties involved.
Article Submission
Authors must submit their manuscripts through the Farmacia Journal submission platform. Upon logging in, authors are required to upload their manuscript along with a cover letter. The cover letter must include the names and signatures of all authors, confirming their contributions and approval of the submission. Authors are required to thoroughly examine authorship prior to submitting their paper. Any modification to the list of authors should be implemented during the editorial procedure, prior to the acceptance of the paper.
Any requests for changes in authorship after submission must be accompanied by a new cover letter, signed by all authors, and sent to the Editorial Board for approval.
Initial Screening
Upon manuscript submission, the Managing Editor conducts a preliminary technical check to evaluate:
- Compatibility of the manuscript with the journal’s scope.
- Adherence to high research and ethical standards.
- Compliance with technical and formatting guidelines.
Following this, an academic editor assesses the scientific merit of the submission, including the relevance of references and the methodology’s accuracy. Based on this evaluation, the manuscript may be rejected, returned for revision, or moved forward to the peer review stage. Articles that do not fit the scientific purposes of Farmacia, are of poor quality, or are found to be plagiarized are rejected.
Peer Review Process
Farmacia Journal employs a single-blind peer review process wherein the reviewers know the identity of the authors, but the authors do not know the reviewers’ identities. At least two independent review reports are obtained for each submission. Reviewers are selected from the Editorial Scientific Board, our qualified database, or identified through web searches for related articles. They must not have conflicts of interest with the authors and must possess relevant scientific expertise.
Reviewers are given 14 days to complete their evaluations. Acceptance decisions on manuscripts, after peer review, are made by the Editorial Board members based on the concordance between the reviewers’ comments and the authors’ revisions and responses. The possible outcomes include acceptance, rejection, minor revision, or major revision.
Editorial Decisions
The academic editor, after considering the reviewers’ feedback, makes the final decision on the manuscript. The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for ensuring the academic quality of the publication process, including acceptance decisions. If there is a discrepancy between the reviewers’ recommendations and the Editor-in-Chief’s decision, a detailed justification is provided to benefit the authors and maintain transparency.
Revisions and Appeals
Authors are given clear instructions for revisions based on reviewer feedback. In case of disagreements, authors may appeal decisions by providing a detailed justification and responses to reviewer comments. Appeals are reviewed by an independent editor, and the Editor-in-Chief validates the final decision.
Final Production and Publication
Accepted manuscripts undergo professional editing and formatting by in-house teams to ensure clarity and adherence to journal standards. Authors are provided proofs for final approval before publication.
Commitment to Quality and Integrity
Farmacia Journal is dedicated to upholding the integrity of the scientific record, ensuring that all published research is conducted and reported to the highest standards. We are committed to continuous improvement and transparency in our editorial processes.
