A new potentially biologically active complex of oxovanadium (IV) with naturally occurring flavanone naringenin has been synthesized and characterized in solid state by elemental analysis, molar conductance, UV-Vis spectra, FT-IR spectra, thermal analysis, and fluorescence spectra. From the experimental data, the complex was formulated as [VO(Nrg)2]·5H2O.
