Abstract:
Anthriscus sylvestris is a traditional remedy for various diseases due to the lignans contained by the root. The aerial parts of
the plant are also used in the traditional medicine, but the pharmacological studies are limited. The objective of the study was
to evaluate the anti-inflammatory activity of A. sylvestris aerial parts in order to capitalize the plants highly adaptability and
ability to grow rapidly in almost any type of soil. The obtained results proved that the obtained and characterized A. sylvestris
aerial parts extract exerted anti-inflammatory effects in rat induced inflammation models.
