Abstract:
Psoriasis is a chronic recurring condition that varies in severity from minor
localized patches to complete body coverage. In this disease the normal cycle of replacing old skin cells with new one becomes unbalanced. The most popular parameter to characterise plasma membrane is fluidity. The membrane fluidity in psoriatic patients decreases. The present paper is intended to review the literature data on the possible involvement of membrane fluidity in psoriatic patients; a special focus is given to patients treated with acitretin.
