Abstract:

The aim of this paper is to point out biochemical modifications (SOD, catalase activities), hematological parameters (hemoglobin, hematocrit), δ-aminolevulinic acid (δ-ALA), lead urine concentrations and histological modifications (kidney tissues) produced by lead poisoning after quercetol administration. Results are expressed as mean ± standard deviation.
All these modifications are determined by quercetol-lead complexation, by quercetol protection upon hem biosynthesis and its potential role of antidote.
