Abstract:

New sulfonamidophenyl-amides of N-(4-nitrobenzoyl)-phenylglycine and N-(4-nitrobenzoyl)-phenylalanine have been synthesized by decyclization of 2-(4-nitrophenyl)-4-phenyl-Δ²-oxazolin-5-one and 2-(4-nitrophenyl)-4-benzyl-Δ²-oxazolin-5-one with various sulphonamides. The structure of the new compounds has been confirmed by elemental and spectral (¹H-NMR) analyses. The DL₅₀ values and the antimicrobial activity of new synthesized sulphonamides have been also studied.
