Abstract:

This paper presents synthesis and tuberculostatic activity of some new hydrazone derivatives of benzoxazol-2-yl-mercaptoacetic acid. The compounds were obtained by condensation reaction between hydrazide derivate of benzoxazol-2-yl-mercaptoacetic acid and different aromatic aldehydes. The chemical structure of the synthesized compounds was confirmed by elemental analysis data and IR, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR spectral measurements. The values of the lethal dose were also established for the synthesized compounds.
