THE UV SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC METHOD FOR THE IDENTIFICATION AND DOSING OF TRIMETAZIDINE.

Abstract:

Trimetazidine regulates the ionic metabolism of the cardiac cell. It is officinal in the Japonese Pharmacopoeia 13th edition, as well as in the European Pharmacopoeia, 4th edition.
The paper presents a spectrophotometric method for the dosage of trimetazidine as well as its validation. The results show that the method is linear, accurate, precise and robust, being adequate for the intented purpose.
