Abstract:
Armillaria mellea (Vahl.) P. Kummer, the honey fungus, Tricholomataceae family, is an edible mushroom and was studied in order to be used in phytotherapy. The researches were performed in order to establish the characteristic anatomical elements, the chemical composition and the activity on plant cell division. Microscopically we identified hyphaes with basidiospores and hymenium with basidies in different stages of evolution. Qualitative chemical studies showed the presence of aminoacids, monosaccharides, polysaccharides, sterols and triterpenes. The phytobiological test revealed a total mitoinhibitory activity at 5% concentrations (g vegetable product/mL) and a moderate one for the concentrations 2.5 - 0.033 %..
